Well unfortantly this is not an uncommon problem and there will be more of this. The best you can do is pressure your goverment offcials.The other thing you can do is make the other veterns groups aware of the situation . Just a note there are a few of us that do learn to cope so theres hope.

Yesterday I learned of the suicide over the weekend of the son of friends of mine. He was a soldier completely changed by his long tour of duty in Iraq. When he returned he sought help at the VA but they just gave him pep talks about being a man. He's the third man in his company to commit suicide in the year since they returned. Can anybody suggest how ordinary citizens could influence the VA system to provide appropriate help to traumatized combat veterans?
I've known this young man since he was born. He was a lovely person.
