For all you adventurous foodies out there. The Black
Lotus is a very nice indian resturant tucked in to a
truck stop on North HWY 51 (the BP) I had the beef
kabobs, and Shamus had the chicken tikka. The kabobs
were tender and mildly spiced, the side was rice
topped with nice and cruchy slivered almonds. I would
of liked a yoghurt sauce to go with it, like they had
at WW stick night (Thanks to all who made it happen).
The chicken tikka is 3 pieces of chicken in a red
colored marinade, with a biyahni <sp> rice. The rice
is make with cinnimon and very delcious. The chicken
tender and flavorful. The waitstaff diddnt know what
the dishes were, so it was abit of an adventure. They
are having a grand opening special of 25% off the
meals, and each night for the rest of the week has a
theme. Italian, Asian, Middle Eastern, Steak (not in
order)
My Father thinks that the head Chef used to cook for
the King of Jordan, I dont know if its true. But it
was nice and tasty.

They also have a Buffet for Breakfasts, and a fish fry
that my Dad thinks one of the best around.

Elsbeth of the happy tummy

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
