Greetings, all!

As many of you may know, the Jararvellir Fools' Guild is holding its
Fools'
Moot this weekend, on Sunday at Edgewood college! We hope to see all of
you
there!

In order to entice you to come, here's a quick run-down of the evening's

activities.

The event is scheduled to begin at five, although the idea of the moot
is
meant to be more of a party atmosphere. So, you're welcome to pop in at
any
time. Starting at five, we'll be hosting an open stage for any and all
who
would like to perform for the gentles of the barony. So if you have a
song
or a talent that you wish to share, you are greatly encouraged. The
open
stage will continue all evening in the spaces between other
performances.
So even if you can't make it right away at five, you can still brighten
the
evening with your performance!

A few guilds have graciously agreed to perform at the moot already.
Around
6:45 or so, the Music Guild will be sharing some songs with us. Around
8,
the Choir will be performing some silly selections. And since it's the
Fools' Moot, the Fools' Guild will be taking the stage around 7:15.

HE Eithni has also planned a court to take place at 8:30. Rumor has it
that
hilarity may ensue.

As everyone knows, the Barony is in the midst of its latest transition
period. In order to help the process along, the Fools' Moot will be
hosting
a short Meet and Greet for the baronial candidates. HE Eithni will be
in
attendance as will Fly-Fornication Barbon (who happens to look an awful
lot
like John Chandler, although House Greyfeather denies all involvement).
For
a chance to chat with the Baroness and a chance to meet Fly-Fornication,

stop by around 6.

In addition to all of these scheduled events, there will be a number of
on-going activities all night.

The open stage will begin at five and run at all time there is not a
scheduled performance. But, if you would still like to schedule a
performance, please contact me, Sarah the Foole, your moot activities
coordinator. If you would like a specific time slot, just drop me an
e-mail
or find me at the moot itself.

An A&S competition is also being hosted. If you already have something
to
enter, you can either contact Roibeard at bobsanggk at gmail.com or just
bring
your project to the moot. Also, for those you want to participate in
A&S
activities on the spot, Roibeard will be running a table where any and
all
can construct their very own tinfoil hat.

It's always better to give than to receive, so Lady Alienor is running
the
Anti-Raffle where you buy a ticket to put someone else's name in the
drawing
for an item. If you have anything to donate to the Anti-Raffle, contact

Alienor at reesa83 at aol.com or just use the link to the Chatelaine's
e-mail
from the Jararvellir website. All funds raised in the Anti-Raffle will
be
returned to the Barony in thanks for its support of the Fools' Guild.

Have a piece of garb that those who aren't color blind have forbidden
you to
wear to all those more serious events? Well now's the time to break it
out
of the closet because Alexandre is running the Tacky Garb Contest! So
come
on out and wear your worst!

In case all of that fun isn't enough, we'll entice you with dessert,
too.
Since life is short and many in the Barony will soon be undertaking the
dangers of Pennsic War, we're not just eating dessert first, that's all
we're eating! From chocolate to candy, from cookies to pie, bring a
tasty
dish to pass for the potluck and try the wonderful sweets that others
will
share!

And just as one last way to entice you to come, we'll also mention that
the
moot is free! There is no entry fee at the troll, but donations to the
Barony will also be appreciated.

So, come one, come all to the Fools' Moot on Sunday July 23rd, to be
held at
Edgewood college from 5-10 pm! Join the party and laugh with us!

Sarah the Foole,
Activities Coordinator for Fools' Moot
