[Jararvellir] UW Summer Choir concert

Hi all,

I am performing in the UW Summer Choir concert this Saturday night, and wanted to invite the Barony!

Time: 7pm
Place: Mills Concert Hall, in the Humanities Bldg. on the UW-Madison campus
Conductor: Bruce Gladstone
Cost: FREE!

The theme is "things that spice up your life", and I honestly think the conductor just picked out a bunch of pieces that haven't been performed in 25 years.  There's one song each on lots of topics: love, sex, food, dancing, religion, music, singing, shopping, drinking, etc.  Four of them are even from SCA period...so, this isn't a completely off-list-topic post.

The second half will be a performance of P.D.Q. Bach's cantata "The Seasonings".  If you aren't familiar with P.D.Q. Bach, this will be a HILARIOUS introduction.  The whole concert is family-friendly, but if you have skittish kids, be aware that there is an extremely loud foghorn part in the last movement of "The Seasonings".

(Yes, foghorn.  Don't ask, just come to the concert.)

Please do come, it's air-conditioned, and I LOVE having people I know in the audience!
