We started looking at medieval tents about June, when we fully decided to go on this week long medieval camping pilgrimage called Pennsic. When we bought the pavilion, Panther Pavilions said they would do everything they could to get it by Pennsic, but said the soonest would be likely early September. It arrived today and looks awesome! We bought the slightly heavier fabric, treated, and all stakes poles etc came with it. It is a round pavilion, "hub and spoke" design, 6 foot detachable walls, is 12 foot diameter across at the spokes, 16 at the base. We got the optional backed ground cloth. The stakes are wrought iron, 18 inches long! It has a valance sculpted in their "Chivalry" pattern, with red trim. Our sun shade will go just in front of it. We will be setting it up Sunday I think, leaving it up a day or so, testing the length of spokes, learning how to set it up quickly, efficiently. Then packing it. We pull up chock blocks and roll for Coopers Lake Campground near
Slippery Rock PA early early, Sat Aug 4. I think it will look regal along with the hundreds of others, tiki torches all around, and is well worth the having, though the entire package tips at around 200 pounds and takes up about one third of a minivan. May look at getting that small trailer after all...
