(Please feel free to pass this on to folks off-list, if you think
this may be of interest...)

Since we don't have the Stock Pavilion for the next three practices,
I thought maybe folks might be looking for something to do, so we're
I've put together...

************
More Cheshire Archers Arrow Madness!
************

Who: Anyone interested in Combat Archery, or in hanging out and
having fun planning, plotting. and crafting

What: More gatherings to make Combat Archery arrows, and whatever
other bits we get into (who knows, maybe even some armor...!)

What's Involved: Show up, hang out with good folks, eat munchies,
make LOTS of CA arrows, and start playing with bits of armor and
other gear.

(Even if you don't have any interest in Combat Archery yourself, feel
free to stop by with your own SCA or other craft project, and hang
out with us!)

When: Three (count them, three!) occasions:

Sunday, March 4th, 1:00 PM - "Arrow Wrap Up" -
Finishing the first 100 Combat Arrows!

Wednesday, March 7th, 6:30 PM - "How we're gonna get there" discussion
(what people need for armor, bows, and
other gear, and how we can
work together
                                         to get it...)

Sunday, March 11th, 1:00 PM - "Work Party"
Work on arrows, bows, quivers, armor,
whatever folks are ready to start working
on... or just show up with questions or
                                      ideas!

Where: Jack's Place
	1110 Colby St
         (directions below)

Last weekend, we finished the basic prep for the first 100 fiberglass
Combat Archery arrows - but we need to finish putting them together!

Once we've finished that, we will start talking about what the next
steps are, including getting armor and other gear together. There
are a lot of options out there, and I expect we've got an option that
should work for just about anyone!

This get together is BYOB-M-W (bring your own beverage-munchies-whatever)
Pizza or other substantial food may be ordered, but we'll work that
out once we get started. If the weather is still blustery, I plan to
actually get the fireplace going, and if it's not blustery, maybe we
can work on tactics with a quick snowball fight... and hot cocoa to
follow, of course!

RSVP if you can, email to jbf at pobox.com, or call 257-1082 (H) or
658-5802 (C). You can also contact me if you have questions or ideas
about what we might do.

I know this is last minute notice for this weekend, and I know some
people might not be able to make any of these times. If folks want
to let me know what times are good for a get together like this, I
will take that into account in the future.

Looking forward to seeing folks over the next couple of weeks...!

Jack

Directions to Jack's Place: (1110 Colby St, Madison)

Take your best route to John Nolen Drive, headed toward the Alliant
Energy Center (Coliseum).
From the North: Drive south on John Nolen from the area of Monona
Terrace and cross Monona Bay. After passing the park you will hit a
stoplight. This is Lakeside Street, turn right. Follow directions
below from Lakeside St.

From the South: Exiting on John Nolen from the Beltline, go past the
Alliant Energy Center (Coliseum).  The first stoplight is Olin Ave;
go past this to the second stoplight, which is Lakeside Ave. Turn
left onto Lakeside, and follow directions below.

Once on Lakeside: Heading west on Lakeside (toward Park St), the
second street on the left is Colby Street; turn onto Colby. 1110 is
at the top of the hill on the right, a one-story white house with
black trim, a small front porch, and a garden out front.

For those who might be travelling by bus, we are just off Route #13,
a block and a half from the "Wingra/Olin" stop. Be aware that Route
#13 has limited weekend service. Check with Madison metro or give me
a call for more info.)

Oh, and one last note: Please come in the *side* door; we don't use
the front door much, and we'll be mostly gathering in the living room.

If you need help or get lost on the way, the house number is 257-1082.
