Back in the Canton's early history, we became fairly well-known for our Feast of the Beast events. The premise was simple: our two hopeless, hapless, inept Viking hunters, Bjorn & Sven (pretty much the only males of our little Canton) were sent out each year to bag a critter for our cooks to serve at our feast. To give you an idea of what we had to deal with, all of the men in their families were named Bjorn or Sven, because other names were too hard to remember. (Their family tree had no branches-just a trunk!) The story of how they captured said beast (usually by accident) provided the entertainment between courses. The beast and menu were highly guarded secrets. Bjorn & Sven usually made an appearance at court, where those sitting the High Seats tried very hard to give the boys something to make it easier for them to hunt. It never worked.
