[Jararvellir] Introduction

I thought that I should introduce myself to this list since most of
you wouldn’t know me from the Queen of Trimaris (which brings certain
ideas to mind …). 

I am Bronwyn ferch Gwyn ap Rhys.  I’ve been a member of the SCA for
about 30 years, although for the past 10 years or so my activity
level, due to health considerations, has been limited to no more than
one or two events (if I’m lucky).   If you want to know what positions
and such like, contact me privately.  I don’t think that ancient
history need to be brought up here.  

I do have some skills and resources that might be of use to the Barony
– and you don’t have to have met me before in order to utilize them.
I am pretty good at calligraphy and illumination, tailoring (I refuse
to call it costuming since the things we wear are not stage costumes
but actual clothing), cooking, jewelry (I’m semi-professional), and a
book glutton.  I’m working on becoming a proficient woodworker just
now.  I have an extensive library of C&I books, books on woodworking,
jewelry-making (including period types of both), medieval history,
plus sundry other topics.  I also have over 700 films, many of which
having some historic value, and movie nights are not out of the
question.  I also have a fairly decent modern woodworking shop, with
lots of bench tools as well as portables.
Please call me or come visit me if you need any help or need to use my
resources.  I will be more than happy to help.  If you ask around, you
might even find a couple of people who actually do know me and can
give you a reference.
