The rapier tourney for the Barony of Jararvellir’s 35th Anniversary Celebration on May 3rd will be a "Swiss 5" round-robin. Combatants authorized in all weapon styles must fight with a different style each match till they rotate through all the styles, then start over again until they complete the round robin. If you are authorized in only two, three or four styles, you must rotate through them as well. If you only have single rapier, then that’s all you get to fight with.

 1). Winners get 3 Points.

2). The Loser must stay on the list field for 3 round if they lose all 3 rounds they get 1 point.

3). If the Loser wins their First or Second round they get 2 points.

4). Points will be added up at the end of the tourney to pick the winner.

5). There will be a prize for the winner of the tourney as well as one for Best Death & Most Honorable Fighter on the Rapier Field.

Baroness Eithni will select her Baronial Rapier Champion from the participants in this tourney.

Also, for those of you interested in period combat manual research, Bob Charron of St. Martins Academy of Medieval Arms will be giving a keynote presentation: "The Swords of Aristotle and Cicero: Medieval Memory and Educational Systems Manifest in Martial Arts."

Remember, the pre-registration deadline for Jararvellir’s 35th Anniversary Celebration has been extended until April 15. More information is available at http://www.jararvellir.org/jara35ann.htm.
