The Stock Pavilion has been a special very place to me and to many
others...but until today I never knew of it's 'decorated' past.
We know it was the training ground for 5 Princes and 2 Kings.
...but it also seems a few modern era tin hats have navigated though
the cow chips dotting our beloved and hallowed ground.

Bill stumps for Hillary at UW Stock Pavilion

"...Clinton's talk was intimate and low-tech compared to the
appearance by his wife's challenger for the Democratic party
nomination, Barack Obama, Tuesday night at the Kohl Center, which was
filled to capacity. Obama's speech reached nearly 20,000 people in
person and was streamed live on numerous Web sites. Clinton's talk
employed no Jumbotron and those in attendance stood on hay, gravel and
cow manure.
"This building, you can smell it, has a lot of history," Dane County
Executive Kathleen Falk said about the stock pavilion where Presidents
Theodore Roosevelt, Harry Truman and William Howard Taft have all
spoken.
It's in "the center of the world's greatest university. This is the
place where science, not politics rules."
