Greetings to the list! I want to thank those who brought their Arts and
Craftsmanship to It's Only a Flesh Wound. Lady Alienor brought 2 different
examples of fiber art - an embroidered favor and a woven favor as would be
given to a warrior. Sir Giles brought a buckler, which he carried in
battle. Lady Ailleanne ingen Faelin brought an Illumination featuring a
warrior. Lord Reinholdt von Trollenhagen brought a shirt and coif
constructed in chain mail. Because these could be seen by people any time
during the competition and voted on by everyone there, I felt it would be
more fair to have that competition be separated from the performance
competition, which was held in the entry room while the fighting continued
in the main room. Her Excellency Shava's photographs of the entries is
referenced in an other email on this group list.

The performance competition consisted of Lady Alienor delivering her own
bardic poem, the Jararvellir Music Guild performing 2 pieces of period dance
music, Her Excellency Shava bas Riva singing a song she wrote, and Lady
Fiona also singing a song she wrote.

Winner of the populace voting for the A&S display was the illumination
brought by Lady Ailleanne, which also received Her Excellency Eithni's
award. His Highness Lars's award went for the chain mail by Lord Reinholdt.
Her Highness Mary gave her award in recognition of the song presented by
Fiona. The populace voting for A&S performances was also awarded to Fiona.

Thank you, each and every contestant, for participating in this competition.
I have heard suggestions as to how to make it work better next time, and I
intend to be a better manager next time. One thing I don't plan to change
is the separation of performance competition from the display competition.
That worked very well, as I heard from several people. I thank everyone for
any coaching you can offer me, off list. Please keep the coaching off list.

Lady Ermina
