Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who put in so much hard work to pull off this weekend's event - despite the weather, it was incredible. I had a blast, and so did the group of newbies I brought along with me from Dubuque for their first WW. For several of them, it was their first event, as well. Now, thanks to this event, I have a household forming! We're calling ourselves House Triskele. Everyone wants to know what they need to do to get on the treaty, and they want to start organizing roadtrips to come up to Jara for practices and stuff. I've got one guy who wants to get into heavy weapons, one who wants to do rapier, several who want to try their hands at archery and thrown weapons... and of course, bardic is a given. ;) We may even try our hands at merchanting. We've even got some kids who want to know what they can do in the SCA. 

Your Excellency, I think it may be safe to say you have an unofficial canton forming over here. Just... don't tell Calontir. ;)
