[Toraerie] Upcoming costume event for 2006

Greetings all,
   
  due to recent questions on the Northshield Hall and at last night's business meeting I wanted to take a moment to update the Barony and the 2 Cantons as to the status of any upcoming costuming events in Northshield for 2006.
   
  Baroness Eithni from Jara contacted me this summer expressing interest in running a Known World Costuming Symposium in Jara this fall.  She contacted me because she knew I was interested in having clothiers seminar again and she did not want it to step on toes.   I said that I was having problems finding a site and if she wanted to go forward and prepare a bid she should.  The bid was presented to Stalari at WW, who subsiquently approved it.  It has since been sent off to the Known World Commitee (or whomever approves such bids).
   
  The bid has the Known World Costume Syposium taking place in Jara at Edgewood College (I think) on Thanksgiving weekend.  (I think it would be Friday 24-Sunday 26, 2006).  HE Eithni has not heard back from the committee as of yet, which is why there has not been announcements of this possible event.
   
  If the Known World Committee does not approve the bid, I am uncertain what will happen in regards to such an event.  Because this bid was in the works I have stopped making plans to have such an event in Nordskogen this fall.  My hope is that a costuming event will happen in Jara regardless of it being a Known World event or not and I will encourage HE Eithni to continue forward with her plans as I am fond of such events.
   
  Since HE is currently at Pennsic and unable to respond at this time I trust that we will hear something one way or another upon her return.
