We have, officially, our first teacher. Yay!

Have we made provisions for where and how the classes will be taking place
on the site? Will we need to hunt up some tables? What are customary thank
you gifts for teachers, if any?

We also should start a list of crash spaces for people. My place counts for
as many people we can fit on our spare beds, and air mattresses to a total
of 10. My parents place (which is unfortunately 45 min. away, but very
willing) can take probably around 13 on beds and pull outs, but a large
high school band in floor space.

Could we also start a web page with the current information on it? Just
something really basic would be fantastic with the time, date, location,
teacher names, activities, who's in charge of what and how to contact them;
that sort of thing.

I've forgotten, who is in charge of what again?

Here are brain storms for class ideas so far, please add as you think of
them:

karuta-Heian card game
kimono no rekishi-kimono history
nihon no rekishi-Japanese history
flower arranging-ikebana
hanga-wood block prints
yoroi-look that up
martial arts?
shibori-tye dying
stay dying
wearing kimono
wei-chi
tea ceremony

When should I bring poker chips? Are we having a legistics only meeting
sometime, or even simply a work day?

That is all I can think of right now.
