I apologize for the late notice on the meeting. For some reason I thought
this was the "other" week with the every other, one week at my place, one
week out like we've normally done in the past.
Next meeting will be at my place (2012 31st. Ave. Minneapolis). All the
forms for the Activities Fair and re-registering for a group will be
finished by the end of that meeting one way or another. I will post an
event update soon I hope.
Since we are on the subject of future meetings these are the previous
concerns about meetings:
-Eating out every time is expensive.
Previously proposed solution: meeting at my place.
-Parking on campus is expensive.
Previously proposed solution: meeting someplace with free parking.
-Being relatively near campus and on easy bus routes is important for easy
attendance.
Previously proposed solution: Eating at restaurants close to campus or
meeting at places close to campus. Libraries being rejected as an idea
because of parking and noise issues.
-Event planning needs to get done.
Previously proposed solution: Meet every Monday.
The last several meetings have been fewer people than I can count on one
hand. I find this a disturbing trend, and I would very much like to rectify
whatever has been causing this problem. I will be attempting for one to
post the next meeting time and place with my notes from the meeting. Please
consider what makes a good meeting for you, and please let me know.
I have heard rumors about hard working officers being picked on for the
quality of their work. I sincerely hope that they are only rumors. Uncivil
discourse with hard working people and with products that I am nothing but
proud of is unacceptable. If you have an issue or constructive criticism
that you cannot express civilly, use an impartial moderator to make it
civil. There has been a great deal of hard work with amazing results so far
for this event. I am very proud to say that I am from Tor Aerie. I would
like to keep this a low stress and fun event for everyone, and I look to
you to make it so.
Thank you,
Beth
