Coca-Cola® Community Initiative Support for events and activities that 
provide students with opportunities to enhance their educational 
development through interaction between the campus and communities of the 
metropolitan area and of greater Minnesota.
-No alcohol 
-No tea (only Coca-Cola products served)
-Alternative forms of funding required 
-No fund raising
-$1,000
-funds given in money or Coca-Cola beverages
-focus on educational development
-logo must be on all advertisements

Administrative Grant Provides supplemental financial support towards 
activities, programs, publications, special events and conferences for 
registered student groups.

Diversity Education Fund Sponsored by the Minnesota Student Association 
(MSA), the purpose of this grant is to fund programs and events that 
promote diversity and education through increased awareness of ethnic and 
cultural hertitage, sexual identity, religious faith, environmental issues, 
political views, age, disability, gender, community building, and any other 
topic that will increase awareness and appreciation of other perspectives. 
The maximum amount available is $1,800 per year. Applications available at 
the MSA office in Coffman Memorial Union Room 235 or at

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender (GLBT) Programs Office Small Grants 
Program Supports activities, programs and projects which improve the campus 
climate for all GLBT students, faculty and staff. A wide range of ideas are 
considered for funding, including special events, on-going network building 
efforts, speakers, publications, and program and conference planning. This 
grant program is not able to fund individual scholarship or research. 
Grants are awarded on a quarterly basis. Applications are available in 138

Office for University Women Special Grants Program Purpose is to further 
the broad goal of creating an inclusive and diverse campus community with 
an enhanced campus climate for women faculty, staff, and students. The 
minimum grant is $100, and the maximum grant is $1000. Applications are 
available in 129 Klaeber Court or online at http://www1.umn.edu/women/. For

Murasaki Shikibu, Tomoe Gozen, etc.

Special Events Fund Sponsored by the Minnesota Student Association (MSA), 
the purpose of this grant is to fund programs and events that discuss, 
celebrate, or make aware a group, idea, service, or cause at the University 
of Minnesota. The maximum amount available is $500 per year. Events held or 
co-sponsored by student fees receiving groups are not eligible for this 
grant. Applications are available at

-One to think about for next year?- Summer Cultural Programs The purpose of 
these grants is to support student groups in their sponsorship of cultural 
events on any of the Twin Cities campuses during the summer term. This may 
include musical concerts, theatrical performances, art exhibitions, film 
festivals, and other arts-related programming. Groups that receive funding 
from student services fees are not eligible to apply. The amount of each 
grant depends on the group's need and the availability of funds; it is 
expected to range from $200 to $2000. For further information, or an
