Greetings.
I hope the month-long hiatus has you rarin' to dance. With the
resumption of dancing comes a change in venue and schedule. We will
now be meeting weekly at Midtown Global Market
(http://www.midtownglobalmarket.com) on Sundays from 6 - 8 PM and
since the site is free, you don't have to worry about me begging for
donations any more. :-) I will continue to send out these reminder
messages, as there may be some weeks when there is no dance.
For those of you who are not familiar with Midtown, it is an
internationally-themed public market featuring fresh and prepared
foods, restaurants, and a selection of arts and crafts from around
the world. The market resides in the old Sears building on Lake St.
in Minneapolis. A map of the surrounding area can be found at
http://tinyurl.com/2k992u and you can get directions to the site by
clicking the "To here" link in the balloon. There is three hours of
free parking available in both the Midtown Exchange parking ramp on
the 10th Ave. side and the meters on the Elliot side near Lake
St. You can find a map of the immediate area around the market by
clicking "Directions" on their website. This shows the location of
the two parking areas, but please notice the orientation of the map
(North is to the left). We will be dancing in the Plaza in the
center of the market; clicking on "Market Map," in the green area,
will bring up the layout.
It looks like we will have many new people showing up to dance and
several people have told me they plan to wear garb. I hope to see
many of you there. Let's make a great impression on our new hosts!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
Yay dancing!
Etienne
