Hi all,
I know it's late and you all probably have your garb for the event
done...but for those of you who are like me and have some last-minute
things you are looking into, I found this site.
http://www.iz2.or.jp/english/index.htm
Look under "costume history in Japan". It has lots of pictures and
explanations of what clothing parts the costume consists of, I think. I
don't know enough about Japanese clothing names to be sure. I think the
period we're interested in is labeled: The Kamakura Period - The Azuchi
-Momoyama Period -. It has examples from the Muromachi period in there too.
Hope it helps, see you all Saturday,
Lori
