[Toraerie] Knitters gathering at meeting tonight

Not really news since most of us who knit have our knitting with us wherever we go..... 

I was contacted a couple weeks ago by someone who wanted to learn how to knit and I am meeting her tonight to give her a quick lesson and get her started.  I would like to encourage other knitters in the Barony to bring their needles and join us.  If you too are interested in a lesson, let me know so I can bring extra needles and yarn.

I'm expecting some new stocking (and eventually) glove patterns that were developed for Plimoth Plantation (1620's) and while the patterns are based on extent pieces outside the SCA time period I suspect that they are similar enough to be useful for 16th c. clothing accessories and will be happy to share once they arrive.
