[Toraerie] Caponi Art Park Demo, Saturday September 29th 12-4pm

Greetings to the populace.
   
  This is a reminder that Nordskogen will be hosting a demo at the Caponi Art Park on Saturday September 29th from 12-4.  http://www.caponiartpark.org/
   
  The people at Caponi have done an excellent job of making the activity known and have updated their website with more recent pictures from past demos, created a poster, and have spread the word at a lot of local schools so it is possible that we may receive a large turn out of people, which would be wonderful!
   
  I also encourage those in the Barony to tell friends and family about this activity.  It should be a great deal of fun and an inexpensive way to spend a Saturday.  It also helps promote the visibility of the art park itself.
   
  For those interested in participating in the demo itself please refer to the following info:
  
I am asking that people arrive no later than 11 am at the park, and be prepared to demonstrate their chosen activity shortly thereafter. The gates to the public will be open at 12 noon and I would request that people be ready to go (in garb, vehicles parks and modern stuff put away) no later than 11:45. 
   
  Currently HL Padruig is coordinating the armored combat and you may contact him if you wish to fight at the demo.  I have not confirmed someone to coordinate rapier combat, but that should be sorted out shortly.  THL Thuri is overseeing the horses at the demo.  Mistress Rosanore will be providing music at the demo.  HE Rodrigo will be sitting in state with the new Nordskogen thrones (check them out!).  One of the activities that I have planned is a scavenger hunt for kids.  There will be questions on it and they need to get the answers from those participating in the demo.  Since I am demo'ing cooking I plan to have a couple questions on food.  If you have some ideas for questions please let me know so I can include them in the handout.  
   
  Remember that the site does not have running water so I would encourage people to bring their own.  We have access to the site Friday evening and if you would prefer to set up before Saturday morning please let me know so I can contact the people at Caponi and arrange to meet you there.
   
  People from surrounding groups are more than welcome to come and we would love you to join us. Please bring items to demonstrate, please wear your beautiful garb, and please be ready to speak to the public about what it is that we do (as the SCA) and what people did (in history).  This is an excellent oppertunity to present the SCA and the Barony as a fun activity and I hope that you all will consider coming and supporting that goal.
