And this is where things get fun!

My surgery on both knees is scheduled for Tuesday, October 16th at 7:30 am. Yeah. That's four days before our event.  Whee!  Gille, my 2ic, is already ready to head cook the whole day and plant me on a stool in the corner.  Laurence will be there to help me out, and Jonny will be all moved down from Alaska by then - hooray for real vikings to help out.  I should still be okay to make this happen still, despite narcotic pain meds.

Also, I have gotten us a head server (because I can't herd them myself now.)  Perizada's agreed to come be my head server, I am very excited for this, as should you all be.  The woman is amazing. (And Lea, can you go ahead and put her in one of the server volunteer spots?)

I get to tell my work today that they're losing me for awhile.  They aren't going to be happy about it at all - and it pretty much means I won't be getting any days off or schedule changes that I might want.  It will be completely full of awful.  So don't expect me to be able to make meetings, even though I thought I was going to be able to.  Sorry.
