This year's theme is "it's all about the guys!". We want men to come and take classes, we want women who sew for men to come and take classes, we want men to come and teach classes, we want women to come and teach classes, we want everyone to come and enjoy themselves. While a number of the classes will be focused on taking the male wardrobe up a notch I feel that there will be plenty of info for everyone, regardless of gender.
As in years past we will have classes in the morning, there will be a lunch break and there will be a simple lunch for sale on site, or you can travel out to one of the numerous fast food sites in the area. The afternoon will have more classes and the day will end with a "Walk through History" fashion show. SR Harris opens at noon on Sunday.
This year I am looking for volunteers to be "walking a&s" displays. In other words you will probably end up wearing something that says "talk to me about (insert place and time here)". Clothing always looks better on someone and this way it will alleviate the need to have someone stand at an A&S table all day. There may be an A&S competition for accessories, but I'm still pondering that.
Please put this on your calendar. If you are interested in teaching please contact me. There should be a basic website up by the end of June or early July so please check the Kingdom of Northshield website for updates. (www.northshield.org)
Hope to see everyone at the event in November! (Please feel free to pass this info on to other lists)
